More fallout, progressive dinner, and possibly working on a paper due tomorrow.

So I woke up around 8. Took a shower and ate a breakfast bar. Then proceeded to play fallout. Finally got out of Megaton and started exploring the metro transit system. I visited the radio station and got taken out by the bethmoth my first time through. Got frustrated and dropped it for a bit. After that i put the beans on because they take like at least three hours to cook the first time through. After that and some other assorted prep, i returned to the post nuclear world which I am becoming quite fond of. I finally let the brotherhood guys take out the bethmoth and then talked to three dog (if i'm remembering properly). Chatted it up and then went looking through the metro system again for the area the dj was talking about. After exploring and gaining two levels, i found the exit, though it was horded with the big shielded mutants. So i realized it was sort of epic fail since i was pretty much out of the health pack things. went back over to another square so i could transport safely back to megaton to get some health. I started making my way back over but then realized i needed to start making the rest of the food. I made about 40 enchiladas, 33 chicken, 7 cheese (for all those pussy vegitarians ;)). But before I was able to make all that, i had to debone two chickens and grab all the meat from them. Thankfully i had bought the premade ones when the roomie and i went shopping with our RA yesterday, otherwise that would have been more work than i wanted to do! So, after doing the prep for these enchiladas, they were ready to go into the oven to warm up. By this point the beans were ready and i began to refry them. Everything turned out quite nicely and it ended up being 8 of us eating. I have a ton of leftovers, plus what ingredients i have leftover that were not used. I'm sure i'll find something to do with them. That brings us up to now....I'm avoiding my Psychology paper. Funny part is, I have it all laid out. I just dont particularly want to write it. Suppose I'll have to eventually tonight. Just might watch some Lost or Himym(thats How I met your mother for you acronymn unfriendlies) first.

Peace.

Fallout, homemade dinner, the drive in, and the start of this whole thing

Alright, so I've decided to start one of these things. I dont really think anyone will be all that interested in anything i have to say, but hey what the hell. See what happens, right?

So I guess I'll start off with a little about myself. I'm 20, almost 21. I'm in my third year of college (double major on my path to law school). I'm from Los Angeles County, born and raised. I have been gaming since I was three, so thats almost 18 years of experience points (haha cheesy I know). I've basically been a nerd all my life. Favorite movies since I was a kid have been Star Wars and Back to the Future. I'm into comic books, anime, going to conventions and other nerdy endevors, I assure you (and I'm sure youll be able to tell if you continue reading along). I love cooking, and have been doing so since I was about 5 or 6. My mom never really could cook all that well, so it was a skill I gained out of necessity I suppose. I'm really into music, mostly european and classic rock as well as its progressions. Currently I game primarily on my 360. I'm a college student and a bit broke so i havent invested in other systems yet. Although, i do have a PSP and a DS i dont really play with all that much anymore, save some occasional time on pokemon. Okay so I live in an apartment with a really good friend of mine from college. I do a lot of the cooking and play games when I catch some free time. So, recap: Female gamer, nerd, and chef. Good times. Let's proceed.

So today started off by me finishing up my Spanish homework for an immersion class I'm in. It was strange getting back to the homework merely for the fact that the week prior there was no homework due to a huge test. I suppose I need to get back into the routine. After completing this, I went to the local Albertsons with my off campus RA, my roomie (which is somewhat problematic of a title considering we dont actually share a room), and well me of course. We needed to go shopping for the event tomorrow, the progressive dinner for off campus residents. Of course since i like cooking, i volunteered myself to be the chef for the main portion of the meal. I'm going to be making enchiladas and refried beans. Also for the vegetarian folks, there will be chese and olive enchiladas, or just cheese if its prefered. So with that done, we come back and clean up the place a bit from last nights fun. After taking out the trash, i make myself breakfast at oh about 2pm. Leftover spaghetti was very yummy. After I ate, the roomie and I went around inviting people personally to come to the progressive dinner. Upon returning to the apartment, I continued playing fallout 3 (i know it seems late but i had a really hard time dropping 60 bucks for the game even though i know it is epic). I just got out of the vault. (i know, im wayyy at the beginning. deal with it). After playing for a bit, and finally finding that first town and getting the info about my father from the bar owner in the game, I continued to work on my homework. I did some psychology reading for my class psychology of the Chicano. It was interesting, but a bit dense. the article was about acculturation and assimilation models and the differences between them. After I finished, it was about 5p.m. so i started to prep dinner. I made porkchops (which were spicy because they were seasoned by the butcher) with apples, tangerines, onions, and a citrus sauce. So it ended up being spicy, but with layers of sweetness. The apples turned out amazing as well. I also made gluten free cookies for me and the roomie. She has an intolerance to gluten (fyi.). But, god those cookies were pretty amazing. I guess it helped that we ate them right as they got out, so nice and hot (falling apart gooey goodness). Now I'm just avoiding a paper, waiting a bit longer for us to go to the drive in tonight. We are going to see gamer. (i know its late, but we dont really go out for many movies). Should be a good time though, we are going for a snack run prior as well and maybe going out after, we will see.

later for now,

girlgamer ;)
